Clas Veibäck

I am a Doctor of Philosophy in Automatic Control from Linköping University. I successfully defended my thesis Tracking the Wanders of Nature in December 2018. Currently, I am a postdoc at the Automatic Control from Linköping University.

Research Interests

My research is focused on target tracking. Currently I'm researching direction of arrival estimation and sound source separation for wearable microphone arrays. Previously I was researching improved motion models for sea ice tracking and the implications of uncertainty in timestamps on estimation. Previous research has been oriented towards applications in animal tracking. A complete target tracking framework, from camera to dolphin trajectories, was developed in collaboration with Kolmården wildlife park. A method for partly automating behavioural studies on birds using cameras and sensor fusion was developed in collaboration with Lund University.
