Ph.D. Student Pavel Anistratov
Pavel Anistratov was born in 1990 in Tomsk, Russia. He finished his Engineer-Physicist / Specialist degree in Electronics and Automation of Physical Installations in the spring 2015 at Tomsk Polytechnic University. Since 2016 he is working as a Ph.D. student at the Division of Vehicular Systems, Department of Electrical Engineering (ISY), Linköping University. In 2019 he received his Licentiate degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Vehicular Systems.
The PhD project addresses time-critical avoidance maneuvers with applications to autonomous ground vehicles. The project focuses on the development of new formulations of motion-planning optimizations, with a desire to increase vehicle safety by taking into account new control possibilities of autonomous vehicles. Methods to decrease complexity of motion-planning optimizations are also considered, with an approach to obtain a full avoidance maneuver by applying a segmentation and merging strategy.
