Research

Currently, my research is focused on sensor fusion and parameter learning in presence of non-Gaussian noise with positive support. Previously, I was researching the problem of estimating position and velocity of a moving target from uncertain timing measurements. The estimations were mainly performed in the continuous time, hidden markov model framework. The research was performed in collaboration with Ericsson research, Linkpöing.

Projects

[p3] TRAX is an Initial Training Networks (ITN) research project sponsored by the EU under the Marie Curie actions. Large-scale data analysis and its own complexities on top of mathematical models and object dynamics were being investigated at the project. Three different types of complexities were identified: complexities due to huge amounts of data, complex object dynamics and measurement models, as well as complexities associated with large amounts of objects.

[p2] QuEEN was a celtic plus project. My task was to work on both infrastructure and network levels, implementing probes for server and network performance measurement collection for quality of experience analysis. I was invovled in this project while I was a research scientist at VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland.

[p1] QoE in Telemedicine was an European Space Agency (ESA) project. The aim of this project was to design an audiovisual QoE estimator tool for telemedicine applications. I was involved in this project during my time at VTT. In collaboration with other researchers involved in this project, we successfully acheived milestones defined in the project requirements.
