Tianshi Chen

Tianshi Chen is an assistant professor (Forskarassistent in Swedish) in the Division of Automatic Control, Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University.

He received his Bachelor and Master degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2001 and 2005, respectively. He got his Ph.D., in December 2008, in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China. From January to March 2009, he was a guest researcher in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. From April 2009 to March 2011, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Division of Automatic Control, Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University.

Positions available

I am currently looking to recruit a PhD student for a 5-year PhD position starting from the early of 2015. The student will work on the subject "regularization methods for system identification" and will be supported by a recently received grant from Swedish Research Council (VR).
