Tianshi Chen

Tianshi Chen is an assistant professor (Forskarassistent in Swedish) at the Division of Automatic Control, Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University. From April 2009 to March 2011, he held a postdoctoral position at the same department. In December 2008, he got his Ph.D. at the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China. He received his Bachelor and Master degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2001 and 2005, respectively.

Research

Tianshi's research interests are mainly in system identification, state estimation, change detection, machine learning and nonlinear control theory and its applications. Currently his research is focused on kernel-based regularization method for model estimation and handling cardinality and sparsity constraints in system identification and related areas, e.g., change detection.
