Assistant Professor Daniel Jung

Biography

Daniel (Eriksson) Jung was born in 1984 in Linköping, Sweden. He finished his M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering (Y) in the spring 2010 and his Ph.D. degree in the spring 2015 from Linköping University. During 2017, Daniel did his postdoc at the Center for Automotive Research at The Ohio State University, OH, USA. After that, Daniel returned to Linköping University and is working as an Assistant Professor at the Division of Vehicular Systems, Department of Electrical Engineering. He got his docent degree in the spring 2020.

During the fall 2014, Daniel visited Prof. Gatuam Biswas at ISIS, Vanderbilt University, USA.

Daniel is doing research in fault diagnosis and prognostics of technical dynamic systems where his focus is on combining model-based and data-driven methods for classification and root cause analysis of unknown fault classes and automated design and calibration of diagnosis systems. He is also involved in research concerning electrification of transportation.
