Maximally Stable Colour Regions

MSCR features are colour based features that are stable and fast to detect. Each region is approximated by an ellipse, that can be used to perform an affine normalisation of the texture around the region. Click on thumbnails below to view example input and output sequences.

The above sequences play in QuickTime, VLC, mplayer, and Windows media player.

Both sequences side-by-side [combined.mp4]

The MSCR feature detector was published at the CVPR07 conference.
